I've used pieces cut from an old quilt for the centers of the flowers. The hangtag reads "Tennis begins with LOVE". Their wings are made from one of Mrs. M's wool school teacher skirts. Each side has a vintage button sewn on. Their nest is a rusty bedspring. They look great standing alone or in a flock! Her body is hand crocheted with cotton thread and stiffened with my coffee & cinnamon mixture. I've gathered grapevines while walking on my country road and twisted them into wings. In her arms she holds a fragrant bundle of sweet annie which is wrapped in a strip of muslin. Approximate measurements are 9" w x 6" h. Get her before she flies away...quantities are limited! Price:$ 23.00 Click image to enlarge Grungy Prim Star Nodder This 16" h star is hand stitched using warm & natural. I've stained and stiffened it with a mixture of coffee, cinnamon & blue paint. It has an extremely grungy prim look of rusted steel. The pocket is an old quilt piece to which I've sewn a vintage button. The goodies tucked into the pocket include dried sweet annie, a prim stitched flag and a spray of rusty stars. The hangtag reads "Liberty". This patriotic piece stands in a rusty bedspring.
